Tevor is a professional artist and teacher working in Suffolk UK. He was born in Essex and moved to Staffordshire at 10 years old. he continued my education there studying art and education and gaining his first degree there.
He then progressed in education, eventually becoming a headteacher of a successful high school. Alongside his work in education he has maintained a career in art. At first in watercolour and then pastel. His love of pastels developed from his move to the Isle of Wight and watching his daughter Emily grow in an area of great beauty with beaches sea and amazing light. Sailing, windsurfing and surfing allowed me to see the sea, its moods and light at different times of the year and day. This naturally found expression in his art and led to exhibitions.
Paul Talbot-Greaves has specialised in painting watercolours for the last fifteen years and his inspiration is drawn from the strong tones and contrast found within the landscape. He is a Companion of the International Guild of Artists, an Associate of the British Watercolour Society, and President of the Halifax Art Society. He is also a Professional Associate of the Society for All Artists (SAA) and an advisory panellist. He runs highly successful watercolour painting courses, workshops and demonstrations, and frequently writes for Artists and Illustrators magazine and Paint, the magazine of the SAA. He is the presenter of four teaching films on watercolour painting, and has appeared on Channel 4’s ‘Watercolour Challenge’ and Sky TV.
Overall winner of the SAA’s Artist of the year in 1999 was the beginning of Marilyn’s art career. She shortly afterwards had a painting accepted in the RI exhibition in the Mall Galleries. She appeared on Chanel 4’s Watercolour challenge, more recently appearing as the guest artist in Fraser & Friends, a splash of colour and SAA live workshops. She has written 3 books People are scary (really), Animals on the Loose & Painting Dorset in Watercolour. She regularly writes articles for the Paint magazine. Her extensive travels around the world teaching on cruise ships inspire her which she brings to her workshops & demonstrations. She is a loose impressionistic painter capturing light & movement in her work.
