Stephen Lees

“I’m going to excite and inspire your creativity with fun, informative demonstrations. Rather than dictate, I will show you techniques on how to use a palette knife and acrylic paint on a block canvas to create coastal scenes. It really is just like buttering toast; everyone can do it.”

Moira Ladd

Moira’s plan

Initially the subject is drawn, I go over proportion, scaling and aligning features. Then I will talk through working on base tones, each stage started with a demonstration of process. Followed by putting down the final colours and talking about backgrounds (if applicable).

Marilyn Allis

Overall winner of the SAA’s Artist of the year in 1999 was the beginning of Marilyn’s art career. She shortly afterwards had a painting accepted in the RI exhibition in the Mall Galleries. She appeared on Chanel 4’s Watercolour challenge, more recently appearing as the guest artist in Fraser & Friends, a splash of colour and SAA live workshops. She has written 3 books People are scary (really), Animals on the Loose & Painting Dorset in Watercolour. She regularly writes articles for the Paint magazine. Her extensive travels around the world teaching on cruise ships inspire her which she brings to her workshops & demonstrations. She is a loose impressionistic painter capturing light & movement in her work

Marilyn will take you through a Vibrant animal warmup to get the feel of loose painting. Using a technique to create vibrant loose animals paintings. Encouraging you to loosen up and be free. You will then use your own inspiration to paint in the same way an animal or animal portrait, with expert help on hand at all times.

This is a very unique painting break. Each day you will take part in the workshop with a different tutor learning from their experience and talk through tuition and watching their demonstrations.
